Like Kelpies in many Australian films, you can spot a Basenji here or there in African ones. Still, they remain elusive. Although there are mixed breeds resembling them who have left their paw prints on celluloid history (notably Buster, star of the 1930s), I am aware of only one feature starring a Basenji: Good-bye, My Lady (1956). Note: The 2012 American film Trooper and the Legend of the Golden Key does NOT feature a Basenji. There is one on the DVD cover art, but the dogs in the movie are a Bloodhound and a mixed breed.
